Policies, Privacy & Procedures

Our Medical Training Policies and Procedures are designed to ensure safe, effective, and equitable training for all participants.

All participants must comply with the policies and procedures outlined in the training materials and follow the instructions of the medical professionals involved in the training. All safety protocols must be followed at all times. In addition, participants are expected to be respectful of each other and maintain a professional environment. Participants must also adhere to any specific requirements set forth by the training facility or medical provider. Finally, any participant who fails to comply with the policies and procedures may be subject to disciplinary action.

Tactical Medical Consultants is a proud partner of the American Heart Association and the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians. These partnerships require us to adhere to the policies and procedures set forth by these organizations. We gladly adhere to their guidelines and ask that our clients follow the recommendations and policies they set forth.

Our medical training policies and procedures ensure that all our students receive the highest quality education and are well-prepared for their future careers. All our policies and procedures are designed to protect the safety and wellbeing of our students and staff. We have strict rules regarding attendance, course completion, and the submission of assignments. All our policies and procedures adhere to the relevant professional and legal standards. We also provide additional support to our students including resources, mentoring, and guidance.

Finally, we regularly review our policies and procedures to ensure that they are in line with best practice. Any and all pre-course assignments are required to be completed and submitted prior to the clients scheduled in-person or instructor led session. We reserve the right to decline to issue a certification to a participant who does not satisfy the requirements set forth by the American Heart Association or the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians.

Pre-Course Work and Assignment(s): When you enroll and complete payment for TECC, TCCC, BLS, ACLS, or PALS you will be sent pre-course materials that are required to be completed prior to your scheduled class or Instructor led session. Completion certificates for this work must be sent to TMC at least eight (8) hours prior to the start of your course. Exceptions are made in the event that you contact us and communicate that the materials will be completed in full prior to the start of your session. If pre-course work, assessments, or any other assigned material or testing is not complete, TMC reserves the right to cancel your session with no (zero) refund issued.

Certification(s): For participants who participate in our AHA and NAEMT course programs processing times vary based on the issuing authority. Training centers are required to issue certifications within twenty (20) days of the day of your course. Our commitment is to have your certification issued to you via the jurisdiction within 10 business days. If you require proof of certification within 10 days, you should request it from TMC and a course completion letter will be issued to you via email. This letter does not replace a certification card from the NAEMT or the AHA. It simply states attendance and when you may expect your course completion card.

Scheduled Appointment: If you need to delay or cancel your appointment, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice prior to the day of your appointment. Cancellation of scheduled appointments may result in fees. These fees will be applied to the payment method on file or billed to the customer via invoice or order.

Cancellations: Please note that once you have made a booking with us it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you. If you cancel your booking before it is scheduled to take place, be advised you maybe subject to a penalty/fee/rebooking charge or decline of reimbursement.

Reimbursement of Fees: Tactical Medical Consultants maintains the right to issue reimbursement of course cost minus the processing fees on a case by case basis. Tactical Medical Consultants reserves the right to decline reimbursement of fees based on partial and or unsatisfactory completion due to the participants performance, conduct, or actions.

Service Charge: We apply a $25.00 service charge per 15 minutes of administrative or manpower time spent above and beyond our allotted customer service time per course or certification. (Example: participant is having difficulty claiming their certification card, additional certification card needs to be issued, coaching in order to obtain course completion proof.) Our staff will work with you to provide you with quality and reliable customer service. While we do this it will consume time from other projects. Our staff will advise of this charge 100% of the time prior to engagement of service.
